Y.Bhg. Datin Vice Chancellor, Director of PKPP and PKPP staffs attend a dinner with the Mauritius Embassy at Hotel Ritz Carlton KL, in honor of the 51st Independence Day of the Republic of Mauritius, on March 19, 2019. Honorary Guest is YB Tuan Steven Sim Chee Keong, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. The council also attended the foreign ambassadors to Malaysia, entrepreneurs, other than the people of Mauritius who were in Malaysia.

In this event, Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris, UPM Vice-Chancellor has been honored when receiving the Award of Recognition (representing UPM) from the Mauritius High Commissioner to Malaysia, Hon. Issop Patel in recognition of good relations and cooperation networks between UPM and Mauritius since 1996. Various programs have been implemented between UPM and Mauritius including student exchange, mobility, community service, multi-cultural programs, research, seminars, foster programs, and so on.

Besides Datin NC and Director of PKPP, Prof. Madya Dr. Paramasivam Muthusamy, UPM's representatives present include Deputy Director of PKPP, Prof. Madya Dr. Nur Izura Udzir, Director of CoSComm, Prof. Madya Dr. Azmawani, Head of UPM Publisher, Pn. Kamariah, as well as PKPP and CoSComm staff.
