Along with the rapid development of digital technology, the world's entertainment landscape is now undergoing a significant transformation. In the past, television was the main medium for every household. Now, it has shifted to mobile devices.

For example, short dramas on the TikTok application are increasingly gaining ground and becoming the main choice among the younger generation and students.

From the user's point of view, several factors are the main attractions that distinguish TikTok from traditional television. First, flexibility, namely these short dramas can be watched anytime and anywhere without having to be tied to a broadcast schedule.

Second, the use of casual language and a storyline that is close to the reality of life that is suitable for teenagers makes the content easier to understand and 'touches' the souls of today's viewers.

Third, the specialty of these short dramas lies in their very short duration, which is between one to three minutes per episode.

Although brief, the story is still compact and does not skim, covering various popular genres such as romance, family, comedy, and everyday life conflicts.

This fast-paced style of delivery is very suitable for the tastes of young people who have limited time but still want quality and dynamic entertainment.

This phenomenon has had a huge impact on the local creative industry. Social media such as TikTok now serves as an alternative platform for work and a strategic field for finding new talent in the fields of acting, scriptwriting, and directing.

In fact, many youths are starting to take this opportunity to showcase their creativity to build a name and personal brand in the art world before moving on to a more professional level.

Although conventional television still has its loyal audience, the shift in interest towards digital platforms will continue to grow. The entertainment landscape will be dominated by simple, flexible, and easily accessible content, in line with the demands of a fast-paced modern lifestyle.

This evolution from television screens to smartphone screens proves that the way society enjoys works of art has changed drastically with the passage of time.
