
02 May 2025 – The Bakti MADANI @ Jiwa Putra 2025 program organized by the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has been successfully carried out, reflecting a major effort in strengthening the relationship of cooperation between higher learning institutions and rural communities. The program, which lasted for four days from 2 to 4 May 2025 at Kampung AGH SSTK and Kampung Sawah Sempadan, Tanjong Karang, brought together more than 70 participants including UPM students and villagers.


The program opening ceremony was officiated by the Director of the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center (PKPP), Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, and also attended by guests of honor including Mr. Muhammad Nafi’ Rezani Tahrir (Chief Senior Assistant Director, Student Affairs Division, JPT), Mr. Mohammad Syamil bin Rosli (Senior Assistant Director, BHEP UPM), Mr. Zam Zaidi Masri (Chairman of JPKK AGH Sawah Sempadan), and Professor Sidek Abdul Aziz (Chairman of Agro Tourism Sawah Sempadan). The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Director of the RMPP, Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar and Ts. Dr. Rozzamri Ashari, as well as RMPP officers, and foster families.
Various activities based on the values ​​of MADANI Malaysia were carried out throughout the program, including family activities with foster families, rewang activities, tuition classes for village children, exploration of rural culture, visits to rice fields, and involvement in local businesses such as restaurants and handicrafts. The program also incorporates elements of knowledge transfer, social entrepreneurship and volunteerism, in line with the aspiration of forming competitive and self-reliant students.


The RMCC, in collaboration with Saudagar Nenas Agrofarm, a business owned by UPM alumni, donated 100 pineapple seedlings to foster families involved in this program. This donation was given as a symbol of the Bakti Madani @Jiwa Putra 2025 Program and also as an appreciation for welcoming the arrival of the RMCC/UPM.


The Prize Presentation for the Most Beautiful Dish Decoration and Best Dress categories took place. Prizes were presented by the Director of the RMPP and Tok Ketua Sawah Sempadan to the winners according to the foster family category, namely "Mak dan Ayah", as well as foster children, who appeared in the most attractive and creative clothes in line with the theme of the event.

The Bakti MADANI @ Jiwa Putra 2025 program proves that higher education is not only based on academic achievement alone, but also includes human development, social unity and civic awareness. This program is the best platform for UPM students to explore the reality of rural community life while sowing bakti, instilling the value of ihsan and building their identity as future leaders of the country.
