Serdang, 28 September 2025 – The Centre for Co-Curriculum and Student Development (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) successfully organised the Briefing on Procedures for Credit-Bearing Co-Curriculum Courses (KKB) held at Dewan Putra, PKPP UPM. This programme was specifically designed to provide facilitators with comprehensive exposure, understanding, and guidance on the implementation of credit-bearing co-curriculum courses for the upcoming semester.
The programme commenced with welcoming remarks and a keynote address by Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Director of PKPP UPM, who emphasised the vital role of facilitators as the main driving force in ensuring the effectiveness of co-curriculum courses. He also urged facilitators to uphold commitment, discipline, and efficiency in managing activities and course modules for the holistic development of students.
The event continued with a procedural briefing by Mr. Hazrie Minhat, Head of KKB Section, who elaborated on the guidelines, regulations, and course implementation procedures. His session focused on classroom management, continuous assessment, and effective teaching approaches aimed at producing competitive and high-integrity graduates.

In addition, a financial briefing by Ms. Noor Rifa Kamarak was held to provide insights into financial management related to the courses, including claims procedures and activity budget coordination. This session was crucial in helping facilitators manage financial resources more systematically and transparently.
The programme also featured an interactive Q&A session between facilitators and special facilitators, which created a platform for sharing experiences, proposing improvements, and addressing potential issues that may arise during the course implementation. Through this briefing, it is hoped that facilitators will be better prepared, proactive, and efficient in fulfilling their responsibilities as the key drivers of credit-bearing co-curriculum courses. The programme not only strengthened their understanding of implementation procedures but also fostered stronger collaboration and professional networking among facilitators.
Congratulations and well done to all facilitators involved in making this programme a success. May the knowledge and guidance gained be fully utilised to ensure the effective implementation of credit-bearing co-curriculum courses at UPM.
