
November 23, 2024, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) proudly launched the Jiwa Putra 4.0 Program organized by the UPM Center for Co-Curriculum and Student Development on November 23, 2024. The ceremony, which started at 8:30 AM, was officiated by Prof. Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Director of the UPM Center for Co-Curriculum and Student Development. The program's inauguration ceremony was also attended by Ts. Dr. Rozzamri Ashari, Deputy Director of PKPP (Credit-Based Co-Curriculum Section), as well as several other distinguished guests including Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar (Deputy Director of PKPP Administration Section) and Mr. Hazrie Minhat (Ketua Seksyen Kokurikulum Berkredit).

As part of this program, My FundAction also attended and donated 3,000 units of 'Ready To Eat' packs worth RM45,000 to support the flood relief mission. This donation will be distributed to flood victims in need of immediate assistance, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and support that is greatly needed during a disaster situation.

The Jiwa Putra 4.0 program involves the participation of over 3,800 students from the Credit-Based Co-Curriculum Course (KKB) who will carry out various community service activities around the UPM campus. Among the activities carried out are community clean-up efforts, painting, litter collection, and other activities that involve cooperation between students and university staff. The locations of the activities include the Student Complex, Sports Academy, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sample Orchard, Chancellor's College, College 12, College 14, Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS), Great Hall, UPM Publishing Center, and UPM Mosque, aimed at beautifying and maintaining the cleanliness of the campus.

The main objective of this program is to foster a sense of love for the university and to raise students' awareness about the importance of giving back to the community. In addition to benefiting the students, this program also has a positive impact on the UPM campus community. These activities teach students about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, appreciating the environment, as well as fostering a spirit of cooperation and responsibility.

The Jiwa Putra 4.0 program is expected to have a positive impact on the character development of students, honing leadership skills, cooperation, and strengthening the spirit of camaraderie among the UPM community. This program also strengthens the relationship between students and the university, making UPM a more caring and responsible community.

Overall, the Jiwa Putra 4.0 Program inspires students to continue contributing to society and is expected to continue growing, bringing more positive impact in the future.
