JIWA PUTRA CHALLENGE PROGRAM: INTERCOLLEGE RUKUN NEGARA EXPLORANCE COMPETITION 2026

 

Serdang, 26 April 2026 - Jiwa Putra Challenge Program: Intercollegiate Rukun Negara Exploration Competition 2026 held at the Chancellor's Hall, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on 26 April 2026.

This program began with a briefing by Mr. Dahlan Ismail Abu Bakar (Deputy Director of the Co-Curricular and Student Development Center) aimed at providing a clear explanation of the competition rules, exploration routes and safety aspects that must be adhered to throughout the activity. This was followed by a scorecard distribution session to enable each group to record scores at each checkpoint passed.

A total of 4 colleges were involved in this program consisting of various residential colleges in UPM, including Chancellor's College (KC), Priest Zaaba College (KPZ), Sultan Alaeddin Suleiman Shah College (KOSASS) and Tun Dr. Ismail College (KTDI). The involvement of these diverse backgrounds witnessed various challenges that required physical endurance. Mental intelligence and the ability to think creatively and critically.

The program began with a briefing and continued with a scorecard distribution session to allow each group to record scores at each checkpoint passed. Each group was free to choose the main station until the end and according to the set time.

The next session was the release of the exploration groups carried out in stages according to the set turn to mark the beginning of the exploration challenge in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and excitement among the participants.

 

The program continued with a discourse on the Rukun Negara and interaction with the participants which was presented by Encik Syazul Firdaus bin Dzulkefly, Assistant Training Officer of the Selangor State AKM. Interestingly, this session was not just a conventional presentation of knowledge, but was also interspersed with interactive activities through the Kahoot game that involved participant exploration.

This relaxed and interactive approach successfully attracted the participants' interest to better understand and appreciate the principles of the Rukun Negara. The participants seemed to actively participate in answering the questions given. It is hoped that it can strengthen the spirit of patriotism and identity among students, in line with the objective program that emphasizes understanding and appreciation of national values.

 

Throughout the program, the participants have gone through various exploration challenges that test physical endurance, mental intelligence and the spirit of teamwork. Each activity carried out also instills the values ​​of the Rukun Negara as the basis for the formation of identity and unity among students.

The closing ceremony was also graced with a souvenir and prize presentation session by Dr. Rozzamri Ashari (Deputy Director of the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center) accompanied by Mr. Dahlan Ismail Abu Bakar Ashari (Deputy Director of the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center) and also Mr. Syazul Firdaus bin Dzulkefly (Assistant Training Officer of the Selangor State AKM) to all winners. The winner is the Chancellor College (KC), the runner-up is the Zaaba Priest College (KPZ) and the third is the Tun Dr Ismail College (KTDI).

Overall, this organized program successfully achieved its objective in forming a spirit of leadership, cooperation and identity among the participants. It is hoped that all the experience and knowledge gained can be utilized in producing a generation of students who are competitive, have integrity and are visionary. Well done and congratulations!
