OPENING SESSION OF THE SELF-AUDIT ON STAFFING AND ORGANIZATION (AKPO) 2026

Serdang,  21 April 2026 - The Centre for Co-Curriculum and Student Development (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia held the Opening Session of the Self-Audit on Staffing and Organization (AKPO) 2026 at the PKPP Meeting Room. The programme was one of the university’s key initiatives in ensuring that its organizational structure and human resource management remain efficient, effective, and aligned with the current needs of higher education institutions.

The audit opening session commenced at 2.30 p.m. with a welcoming speech delivered by Encik Dahlan Ismail Abu Bakar, Deputy Director of PKPP. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the Self-Audit on Staffing and Organization as an evaluation mechanism that enables the organization to identify strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement in management and administration. He also highlighted that the audit not only aims to ensure the effectiveness of the organizational structure, but also serves as a platform to strengthen a more systematic, professional, and competitive work culture.

The AKPO 2026 audit was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of each unit under PKPP, while also ensuring that the distribution of human resources is carried out optimally and in accordance with current operational requirements. Through this audit, every aspect related to governance, staffing, job functions, and workflow processes would be thoroughly reviewed to ensure that each unit operates more efficiently and productively.

The audit session was also attended by the auditor, Puan Suhana Md Chairi, who was responsible for assessing aspects of organizational governance, staffing management, and the effectiveness of the service delivery system within PKPP. This evaluation is important in ensuring that all work processes are implemented in a transparent, organized, and systematic manner in line with the university’s management standards.

In addition, the self-audit is viewed as a proactive initiative by the university to further strengthen its organizational management system so that it remains responsive to current changes and challenges, particularly within the increasingly dynamic higher education landscape. Through audits such as this, the management is able to identify necessary improvements to enhance the quality of services provided to students while empowering the overall operational efficiency of the organization.

The implementation of AKPO 2026 reflects the continuous commitment of Universiti Putra Malaysia in maintaining excellence in organizational governance. It is hoped that the outcomes of this audit will further assist PKPP in improving management effectiveness, strengthening collaboration among units, and supporting the university’s aspiration to create a more efficient, high-quality, and integrity-driven working environment.
