PKPP UPM CARES : A COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVE TO CLEAN FLOOD MISSION EQUIPMENT 2025

April 7, 2025 - The Management Team and staff of the Centre for Co-curriculum and Student Development (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), took the initiative to carry out a collaborative cleaning effort for equipment used during previous flood relief missions. This initiative aims to ensure that all equipment is in good, clean, and safe condition for reuse in future missions. The cleaning process is crucial to maintaining the equipment's readiness and functionality when needed.

The post-mission cleaning activity by the Skuad Jiwa Putra flood volunteer team was conducted around the PKPP area, demonstrating a strong spirit of cooperation. PKPP staff worked hand in hand to meticulously clean every piece of equipment, ensuring no damage or dirt remained. Thorough cleaning not only preserves the condition of the equipment but also ensures its safety for future use. The close collaboration among staff and volunteers reflects their commitment to preparing everything thoroughly and effectively.

Among those who supported and participated in the cleaning activity were Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Director of PKPP; Mr. Fahmi Azar Mistar, Deputy Director of PKPP (Administration and Student Development Section); and Ts. Dr. Rozzamri Ashari, Deputy Director of PKPP (Credited Co-curriculum Section). Their presence demonstrated the management’s commitment to maintaining the equipment used in flood relief missions.

PKPP remains committed to ensuring that all volunteer equipment is always in optimal condition and ready for deployment in upcoming flood missions. Clean and functional equipment plays a vital role in the success of such missions, as it enables volunteers to carry out their duties more efficiently and safely. By ensuring the best condition of the equipment, PKPP also aims to provide a positive experience for volunteers in every mission they participate in.

This initiative not only focuses on equipment maintenance but also aims to ensure that UPM's Skuad Jiwa Putra can engage more frequently in volunteer activities. PKPP consistently emphasizes thorough preparation to guarantee the smooth execution of every mission involving the Skuad Jiwa Putra. This effort helps instill a strong spirit of volunteerism among UPM students and ensures that the squad is always ready to serve communities in need, fostering a culture of care and mutual support.
