PKPP WELCOMES COURTESY VISIT FROM THE STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL 2025/2026 SESSION

Serdang, 6 January 2025 – The Centre for Co-Curricular and Student Development (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), warmly welcomed a courtesy visit from the Student Representative Council (SRC) leadership for the 2025/2026 session in a meeting held in a cordial and professional atmosphere.

The courtesy visit was led by the SRC President for the 2025/2026 session, accompanied by members of the SRC leadership team. The visit aimed to formally introduce the newly elected SRC leadership to the PKPP management while strengthening strategic ties between student representatives and the university administration.

The SRC delegation was received by Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Mursyid Arshad, Director of PKPP. Also present were Ts. Dr. Rozzamri Ashari, Deputy Director of PKPP, and Mr. Dahlan Abu Bakar, Deputy Director of PKPP. The presence of PKPP’s management team reflects the Centre’s strong commitment to supporting student leadership development as well as enhancing student welfare and holistic growth.

 

During the meeting, various key matters were discussed, including the role of the SRC as a vital communication bridge between students and the university administration. Discussions also focused on potential collaborations in organising leadership development programmes, co-curricular activities, student welfare initiatives, and the implementation of impactful programmes that would benefit the overall student community.

The courtesy visit also served as an important platform for the exchange of ideas and views regarding current student challenges, as well as proposals for continuous improvement in student development programmes under PKPP’s purview. Both parties expressed their shared commitment to maintaining close cooperation to ensure that students’ voices are heard and their welfare remains a priority.

PKPP expressed its hope that the strategic collaboration with the Student Representative Council for the 2025/2026 session will continue to be strengthened through various joint initiatives in the future. Strong synergy between university management and student leadership is believed to contribute significantly towards producing well-rounded graduates who excel academically, demonstrate strong character, leadership qualities, and social responsibility.

The courtesy visit concluded with a group photo session, symbolising the close relationship and mutual commitment to empowering student development at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
