POST-FLOOD AID DISTRIBUTION MISSION IN TERENGGANU

Terengganu, December 28, 2024 – The Center for Co-Curricular and Student Development of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in collaboration with Yayasan Rumah Zakat Indonesia and the Malaysian Humanitarian Volunteer Organization, has successfully carried out a post-flood aid distribution mission. This mission aims to provide assistance to residents affected by the flood disaster in several areas. All contributions channeled are from those who have donated to the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center of Universiti Putra Malaysia. (UPM).

The distribution of this aid involves basic necessities and snacks to 10 families in Hulu Terengganu, Kampung Nibong. Mr. Ridzuan, a member of the Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK), is leading this mission to ensure that aid reaches those who truly need it, including the elderly (chronic patients), the disabled, single mothers, single fathers, and families who have lost their source of income due to the flood.

In addition, similar assistance has also been provided to 6 families in Kuala Berang, Kampung Tok Bat, with Mr. Syed Affendi as the representative of the residents who managed the distribution of the aid. This aid is expected to alleviate the burden of those affected and help them recover after the disaster.

This initiative demonstrates the commitment of UPM and partner organizations in providing support and assistance to communities affected by natural disasters. Thank you to those who have made sincere contributions to the Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), whether agencies within UPM or outside UPM, to assist the flood victims.

Because of this donation, we are able to provide assistance to families in need in the state of Terengganu affected by the flood. May the assistance provided be beneficial and help those in need.
