Universiti Putra Malaysia Serdang, 10 February 2026 - The Universiti Putra Malaysia Co-Curriculum and Student Development Centre has responded to the call for a healthy lifestyle by actively participating in the PUTRA Sihat 10,000 Steps UPM Series 1.0 Programme organised by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This programme is implemented in strategic collaboration with various university entities, namely the UPM Sports Academy, the UPM University Health Centre, the UPM Corporate Strategy and Relations Centre and the UPM Waqf, Zakat and Endowment Centre.

This programme aims to foster a healthy lifestyle culture among campus residents through the practice of walking 10,000 steps as a daily routine that is easy, effective and has a high impact on physical and mental wellbeing. Participation from staff and students shows the high commitment of the university community in supporting sustainable health initiatives in line with efforts to produce UPM citizens who are balanced in terms of academics, personality and health.

Throughout the program, participants had the opportunity to take leisurely walks around the campus while enjoying the green and conducive environment. In addition, this program also served as a platform to strengthen relationships between university residents, as well as raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in daily life.

The active participation of the UPM Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center also reflects the university's continued support for the university's agenda in cultivating a healthy lifestyle and holistic well-being among students and staff. It is hoped that programs like this can be continued consistently in the future as an ongoing effort to form a healthier, fitter and more productive campus community.
