APRIL 23, 2020 – A total of 56 Universiti Putra Malaysia students were honoured at a Prize Giving Ceremony in conjunction with the Putra Quality Quarantine Program 2020 organised by Universiti Putra Malaysia Students’ Representative Council Session 2019/2020. Students, from various faculties and residential colleges, are the winners of seven (7) contests organised during the RMO period starting March 31, 2020 until April 14, 2020. Uniquely, winners at home were represented by a robot from the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The ceremony was attended and officiated by Professor. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) and the winners on campus. The other winners are broadcasted live from their respective homes via the 'Zoom' virtual meeting app.

Various competitions were held; Creative Video Contests, Leisure Daawa Video Contests, TikTok Challenge: UPM Stay Safe, Creative Photypography Contest, UPM Fitness Challenge Video Contest, E-Sport Mobile Legend, and Healthcare Slogan and Tips. Cash prizes more than RM 4,500.00 were offered to winners sponsored by the Student Curriculum and Development Centre, the Sports Centre and Student Affairs Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The objective of Putra Quality Quarantine 2020 program is to produce students who are balanced in mental, emotional and physical health, as well as students who take advantage of their leisure time to learn new things.
