TRAIN OF TRAINERS PELAKSANAAN PROGRAM MODUL RUKUN NEGARA 2025 DI UPMS

UPMS, 28 September 2025 – The Centre for Co-curriculum and Student Development (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organised a Train of Trainers (TOT) session for the implementation of the Rukun Negara (RN) Module at Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak (UPMS). The programme was designed to train the facilitators of the Credit-Bearing Co-curriculum Courses (KKB) at UPMS to ensure smooth delivery of the module and to strengthen students’ understanding of the Rukun Negara in an impactful manner.

The session began with a presentation by Ts. Dr. Rozzamri Ashari, Deputy Director of Credit-Bearing Co-curriculum, PKPP UPM, who emphasised the importance of knowledge enhancement and the role of facilitators as agents in imparting values inspired by the Rukun Negara. This was followed by a slot delivered by Mr. Dahlan Ismail Abu Bakar, Deputy Director of Student Development, PKPP UPM, who highlighted strategies for implementation, effective facilitation techniques, and pedagogical approaches in guiding students.

The TOT was not only a technical training platform but also served as an avenue to strengthen facilitators’ understanding of the philosophy and aspirations of the Rukun Negara as the foundation of unity, national identity, and patriotism. Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and knowledge sharing, facilitators were exposed to diverse approaches and methods that could enhance student engagement and instil deeper appreciation of the module’s content.

Overall, the TOT for the Rukun Negara Module 2025 provided comprehensive exposure and training to the KKB facilitators at UPMS. This initiative is expected to ensure systematic and effective implementation of the module while nurturing patriotism, strengthening national identity, and fostering love for the country among UPMS students.

Through this programme, PKPP UPM reaffirms its commitment to empowering the holistic development and character building of students by integrating the values of the Rukun Negara into co-curriculum teaching, in line with UPM’s aspiration to produce well-rounded, globally competitive graduates with strong leadership qualities.
