Batu Gajah, 7 December 2024 | UPM Jiwa Putra Squad has departed to carry out the 3rd Post-Flood Assistance Mission in Perak

This mission was carried out in collaboration with the Batu Gajah District Council and the UPM Civil Defence Institutions Team (KOR SISPA) and the UPM Insan Club. This initiative aims to ease the burden of flood victims affected by the natural disaster.

At the same time, a session was also held to hand over the Basket of Mercy contributions which was presented by the Director of the Co-Curricular and Student Development Centre (PKPP), Prof. Madya Dr. Mursyid Arshad to the Secretary of the Taman Desa Tronoh KRT as a sign of support for the community affected by the flood disaster.

He expressed his appreciation to all volunteers who have shown a high spirit of volunteerism.

The commitment shown by all parties, namely the UPM Sispa Corps, UPM INSAN and the Batu Gajah District Council, is greatly appreciated and is hoped to be an inspiration for future efforts.

The UPM Jiwa Putra Squad's Post-Flood Volunteer Mission at Surau Desa Tronoh, Kinta District has been successfully implemented with cleaning work on the interior of the surau as well as the external environment to ensure the cleanliness and comfort of the surau can be restored for the use of the local community.

A total of 120 volunteers consisting of students and RMCO staff carried out various volunteer activities including cleaning the area, distributing aid, and providing moral support to the local community.

The UPM Jiwa Putra Squad in collaboration with the Batu Gajah District Council has successfully implemented a post-flood volunteer mission at Laman Menara Tanjak, Batu Gajah. This mission involves cleaning up areas affected by the flood, including clearing mud, garbage, and the public environment. Not only that, it also includes cleaning up affected housing areas and business premises around the area.

This effort reflects the spirit of volunteerism and concern of the UPM Jiwa Putra Squad towards communities in need of assistance.

This hard work has received cooperation and appreciation from the local residents. They greatly appreciate the initiative that helps restore their area after the flood. Hopefully, this effort can ease the burden of those affected and restore the affected area.
